At approximately 5:30pm this evening, Echo Hose H&L company 1 and Pine Rock Park Company 4 were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot for a car on fire. Upon arrival of Squad 1 and Car 6, found a sedan with an engine compartment fire. No other vehicles were parked in close proximity of the vehicle that was on fire. Crews quickly extinguished the fire. Units operating on the scene were Squad 1, Engine 2, Car 2, Car 5 and Car 6 with Engine 42 returned prior to arrival due to sufficient apparatus on the scene.
